Things I Didn’t Know I Needed (Part 2)

Life is so much better when you find something you don’t how you lived without…

A while back I wrote a post about finding something that was the best thing ever – a flamethrower.(Flamethrowers…The Thing You Never Knew You Needed)

Since I wrote that, I’ve had a few more more opportunities to experience that same feeling of, “Wow. How did I live without this previously?” So, I felt it worthy to share these things in upcoming posts, but in this edition, it’s a pretty big one…

The “Unlimited” package at the car wash.

It never fails that I would take my dirty vehicle to the car wash only to come home and have a bird immediately poop on it (I think they look for shiny cars as a hobby). All that hard money to make it clean and shiny would go away in a flash, not to mention the money that was wasted.

BUT NOW…

Most car washes now offer an unlimited deal that allows you to go through the wash as many times you want for one low monthly price. This was a game changer in my life, because the story mentioned above really happened. Many times, in fact. It also happened the first day I signed up for the unlimited deal.

I got home and within minutes there was a big splat on my trunk. Normally this would upset me, but I just went right back to the car wash and went through again. I’m sure the bird will continue to do it again and again, but I won’t be concerned. If I have to go through the wash 5 times this week, I will.

As with many of the things I write about, this is a first world problem, but I like to have a clean car and I like to save money. Whoever came up with this concept was a very wise person.

If you don’t believe how wonderful unlimited will make you feel, try it. You too will surely feel the joy of having a clean car every day and not having to spend a bunch of money to do so.

As silly as it sounds, it’s the little things in life that bring joy…
