In my last post I mentioned my new books, but that’s not all I’ve been putting together!
If anyone has read my blog for a long time, you’ll know music is something that is very high on my list of priorities in life. I was a professional DJ for many years, so music has been a huge part of my life since I was a kid. It was only a natural progression that I would get into making making music at some point, which I did. I was in a band for a while creating our version of “music”, but it never went anywhere. It was just fun.
In later years, like 20 or so years before this post (say 2005 ish), I got a little deeper into production. I made an album, but again it was more to say I did it rather than actually doing anything with it. Fast forward to future time (like recently ish). I go out of the music business around 2015. I didn’t know how much I missed it until I knew how much I missed it. I dabbled around once in a while making stuff, but they were pointless little projects with no direction. I had a ton of stuff I started but never finished.
I decided it was time to change that.
For much of the recent months in 2025, I’ve been back at it, digging hard into the music creation again. It is very time consuming, but I forgot how much I like doing it. Now I should mention, the music I make is not for everyone, but in terms of production, with all music prejudice aside, it’s not bad (it’s always good to toot your own horn once in a while).
What I make is electronic dance music, or trance. As a DJ, I played all types of music, but my favorite was high energy dance beats. That’s what I gravitated to with my creation, but I have bigger aspirations than just making people dance. I try to invoke a mood, and emotion. Ultimately, I love to have some of my music featured in a movie or video games, but in the meantime, I’ll be happy with creating something that the listener can zone out with. I want my music to the listener to another place. Some of my songs are high energy, others are more relaxed (I try to mix it up).
I’ve got two albums out now that are streaming on all major music sites. I’ll have another out in July, plus a few other side projects just for fun. It keeps me entertained, and it keeps me occupied. Next up is trying to do music videos for them. I’ve dabbled on a couple, but I’ve got some work to do still.
If you want to check out my whole catalog, the links for streaming are listed at the bottom of this post.
The links below are videos I put together for my songs Raveolution & Calling Out. Feel free to check them out, and let me know what you think by either leaving a comment on Youtube, or here on this post. I’d greatly appreciate it if you took a listen!
