The Incredible Vanishing Blog Writer

Sometimes I think I’m an internet magician. I just randomly disappear from the blogging world.

I did it again.

In a POOF, I wandered away from the writing world once again (it’s getting to be a bad habit).

Maybe I was abducted by aliens. Maybe I fell down a well. Maybe I was abducted by aliens who dropped me down a well. Maybe I fell into a time vortex where I was transported into the future that is now.

In this case, something else was causing me a dilemma in addition to my usual laziness, writer’s block, and distractions like shiny things, squirrels, pizza, and roller coasters. The writing gods were pressuring me to change things up. If you’re wondering who the writing gods are, they are the voices in my head who guide me in this amazing literary masterpiece we call my blog.

I was contemplating doing a total makeover with a complete re-branding of The Best Blog Ever, but I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to go, Because of my indecisiveness, all activity just ceased. I was trying to figure out how to re-brand myself, but I really didn’t know what my original brand was that I was trying to change. I just wanted to bring some order to my writing chaos by narrowing the focus of my blog.

I considered dedicating the blog entirely to my random stories and such while I would make a new page for the pizza stuff, but it just seemed like a really big hassle to do a whole new page where I was totally starting over. I then considered the opposite, which would be backing away from the random stories to dedicate this page entirely to my Pizza Travels posts and other things pizza related.

If you are not aware, I like pizza, and I like talking about pizza. I can only only assume others do too (or at least I hope they do), but in a fleeting moment of horror, I thought maybe my readers don’t care about pizza. I was afraid I would lose followers who might enjoy my other stories, commentary, and such. On the flip side, maybe I would gain more followers if I was dedicated to one or the other. I wasn’t sure what to do because I wasn’t really sure what my readers would like to see more of.

It hurt my brain to think about it.

All of the thought process became overwhelming, but after lots of pondering, I decided that I’m not going to change anything because being totally random is my brand. I like to think you read my blog because you enjoy the randomness. I hope you enjoy the pizza content too. I might change up the appearance, but the content is going to continue as it was. There is going to be one big change though. I am going to write more of the diverse, yet ever so meaningful, thought provoking content that I am known for.

I hope you’ll stay onboard with me as we continue into the fabulous world of puppies, pizza, and whatever else crosses my mind. In order to write more, I’m shutting down a few more of my mental filters (not that there were many left). Doing so will allow me to post more things that will make you scratch your head asking, “Why would he post that?”

Having no direction will give me more direction.

Trust me. It will make sense if you stick around to see it.
