What have you been doing to celebrate this very important month of pizza remembrance?
Pizza is obviously the most important of all foods, and it definitely does not require a month to remind us to eat it, but the fact that there is a month honoring this great staple of happiness is worthy of thinking about.

As you enjoy your pizzas throughout October, remember the sacrifices of those who work behind the scenes to bring you the slices. Cooks staying up late risking pizza related injuries to craft their art, delivery drivers exposing themselves to the elements and the driving dangers of traffic chaos allowing you to watch Netflix at home in your Hello Kitty pajamas, servers standing on their feet for hours on end in restaurants because you don’t want to cook or lack the skill to make quality pizza of your own, and lets not forget the dishwashers cleaning up the messes.
The list goes on and on, but their dedication and service should not go unnoticed.
This month isn’t just about eating the pizza. There are real humans dedicating their lives to something much bigger than themselves. Remember, not all heroes wear capes. Some wear pizza logo t-shirts.
As you enjoy your next pizza, proudly raise a slice and thank the universe for the blessing we can’t live without, and maybe tip the delivery driver or server a little but more this month to show you appreciate everything that is pizza.
Eat an extra slice or two as well, but save one for me.
